Allow me to take this time to express my heartfelt thanks to everyone taking the time to visit this page. Here I get a chance to open up and tell you why J. McCray Style is so important to me.

God answered the prayer for true friends and a career in fashion. Collaborating with like minded professionals whom I still consider friends today, believed in me and truly supported me as a Wardrobe Stylist. J. McCray Style began in 2015 during a very difficult time in my life. I was struggling with my identity, accomplishing my dreams and doing the best I could to survive in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Born on the east side of Detroit, Michigan, I was raised in a community that communicated style by way of class and status. Detroit, home of the Motown sound and 'The Big 3' (Ford Motor Company, General Motors and Chrysler), has always had a reputation known for its rich fashion and style legacy. I'm a proud Detroit Girl, and it's a reputation I plan on living up to. Fashion and style is a part of my identity. My mother is a very sophisticated and stylish women, she's figured a way to embody such class and elegance with modesty. As a young child embracing my mothers values, I aspired to do the same.

J. McCray Style Boutique was founded in 2017 out of necessity. Facing the challenges of an unexpected pregnancy and a relationship breakup, by the grace of God I was able to turn adversity into opportunity. Becoming a Stylist and Advertising Director in Las Vegas was definitely the highlight of my life at the time and a great start to a promising career. I felt like I was split in two, my personal life had fallen apart right as my career was beginning to take off. Finally, my name had started to circulate in rooms without me having to be there.

Committing to prioritizing raising my child and addressing my mental health, is the advice I continue to share with young woman navigating life challenges. My faith became my anchor when my personal life seemed to unravel. A trusted friend advised me, "Walk away when your reputation is strong, and it will remain intact when you're ready to return."

I'm grateful today to have my son and the unwavering support of my family, as I build J. McCray Style Boutique. My mission is to offer fashions that inspire woman to walk boldly and confidently in their own journey, discovering who they are, wherever life may lead.
